Weekend in Warsaw

Posted by: Sir Mason    in Journeys

So this past weekend I spent it in Warsaw with some friends I have not hung out with in a long time! I went over on a Thursday night and left on Monday. It was the most fun I have had in a long time.

The first night I arrived Joel and I watched a movie and fell asleep… pretty boring night but we both had long days already. I was juts glad to know that I was going to get to enjoy the weekend with some friends!

Oh yeah wait a minute! I laid around for a few minutes then went to the bar! I met up with Tim, Jon, and Josiah! Josiah and I talked about biking across the country. Josiah gave it an attempt from Seattle but he left too late in the season and hit snow. He had to hitchhike the rest of it. When I got there Tim had a Heineken waiting for me. Before we went home we stopped at another bar. The bar was playing “28 Weeks Later” Tim was telling me about the beauty of the scene that was going on when we got there. It was a scene where a guy met up with his wife in some lab… he was doing everything to save her… he ended up getting infected and brutally murdered her. This scene seemed like something I would write. I always like the chats Tim and I have. He tells me about how much he hates it here… I tell him how I love the people… I tell him how I want to move far away… we both head home and go to bed.

Friday was one of the funnest days. We spent the majority of the day playing Left 4 Dead, eating cheese burgers and downing some brew. I spent a lot of the day working on computers too. Tim has a computer I screwed up royally… buuut he was also running Vista so what I did was a good thing? I love playing video games with my friends! We can yell and scream at each other verbally demoralize each other and be great friends. Later that night we hit up Josh’s place for some hookah. We watched “Righteous Kill” it was a pretty good movie but the story was pretty weak. Later that night I stayed up till 04:00AM… I don’t thing I ever went to bed before that time during my stay. Oh yeah I also applied for a job while I was out there. I hope I get a job soon. I really don’t like Warsaw and I don’t want to move out there. Seeing how there are jobs out there I think I have no choice.

Saturday I fixed up a computer for Joel’s brother Eric. I also watched a movie with a funny name “Bangkok Dangerous”. I don’t think I watched much of the movie I just made fun of it using John LaFontaine’s voice, “In a world where one man bangs harder than anyone alive. This man is Dangerous Cock Banger!” Tim and I did some errands later on and goofed around in his brothers ghetto car. Later on Saturday Joel’s new band had their first show. I got drunk, held by a big guy, and saw Joe (a guy I run into randomly). Tim knows Joe too! The world becomes smaller. After the show Tim, Josiah, and I hit up another bar. We go to my Honduran friend Dagoberto’s favorite bar. The place has arcade games, I couldn’t stop laughing. Shortly after we sit down a guy sits by us. It was his 21st birthday. We let him join. He was drinking an “Irish Car Bomb”… he was sipping it though -> it had curdled. We told him that he should have chugged that and handed him a beer. We played a few games of pool and headed to another bar. The other bar had a cover charge so we went to the fallback… Downtown. Downtown is full of smoke. The place is too clean… to sterile for a bar… the people are too clean. The dude having the birthday hanging out by himself on his 21st buys us a round of beers. Tim like always when he is drunk brings up politics. The guy gets a call. He says that his girlfriend is 8months preggers. He leaves us with beers and his “Wet Martini”. Tim immediately grabs the dudes drink when he goes out the door. Haha, never leave your drink unattended -> someone will spike it or down it! Once we have spent enough time at the Downtown we head back home. We break out the camera and take drunken photos of some weird stuff. I was wrapped up on a sleeping bag on the couch. Josiah was drinking peanuts out of the jar. Tim was obsessed with having gloves on his feet. We laid down and watch “The Brothers Solomon”. When I went back to Fort Wayne I had to watch it again since I passed out.

On Sunday I get a text from Dave. I had not seen him all weekend. Friday night he was passed out. I tried to wake him up by jumping on him while he was in bed he just continued to sleep. When I got there he was cooking ground deer and using it for his gross Hamburger Helper. We decided to get burgers. John was wasted and bumping into everything. It was like summer time. For those wondering I DO NOT DRIVE INTOXICATED. This weekend I even drove those that were intoxicated around. While Dave, John, and I were hanging out we were goofing around in IRC pretending to be hooking up and just goofing around saying dumb stuff and just laughing.

This weekend was one of the most fun weekends I have had in a long time! I dunno what it’ll be like if I move to Warsaw but I hope that things will still be fun! All I can say is I love all those Warsaw people and I can’t wait to hangout again!

I’ve been lazy…

Posted by: Sir Mason    in Discoveries, Journeys

Well I have been lazy for quite a long time. I feel like I am a retired old man who gets to do whatever he wants. It is pretty awesome doing whatever I please but it has been going on for to long. Spring is closing in and I want a job before then. I have been looking for work but I can’t find anything. Tomorrow I am going to a temp service just so I can get some kind of income. I really just want a job I can do for a few years and pay off my loans. These are the important issues in my life right now.

On the fun side of things I have been playing a lot of video games, fixing and learning about bicycles, and working on computers! This weekend I laced my first set of wheels for my road bike that I am converting into a fixed gear. It was a pretty fun couple hours. I don’t own a truing stand for straightening out the wheels so I had to take them into the shop. The guys in the shop liked my lacing pattern I did. I wish I could work on bikes for a living. I have not had the chance to ride on the new wheels yet cause it has been raining. The weather has been incredibly warm for the season though.

This weekend I went and visited a friend who wants a media computer for his television. I am going to start that project this week. With the money I make from this project I’m going to purchase supplies so I can paint my bike nicely. I think it would be pretty cool if I could just do odd jobs for a living.

This is a pretty lousy post, I know. I’ll try and post more often! I have been doing some fun stuff and haven’t shared mainly cause I can’t remember because it has been a while!
